Faculty of Graduate Studies
Faculty Brief
Since its establishment in 1990 as the first private university in Jordan, Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) has made it its first priority to create an academic and social environment that would qualify it to stand out at the local and regional levels. AAU has consistently developed academic programs to keep up with the developments witnessed in the local and Arab markets. In 1998, the Faculty of Scientific Research was established to oversee the development of basic and applied research. In 2005, it was renamed as the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research until 2018-2019 when the Faculty of Graduate Studies stood as an independent faculty. The Faculty of Graduate Studies launched the first MA program in Law in the academic year 2005-2006. This program motivated AAU to lay the foundations for more graduate programs. Today, the Faculty embraces twenty Master's Degree Programs and one Higher Diploma Program. Our Graduate programs are offered by ten different faculties; namely, Arts and Sciences, Law, Business, Pharmacy, Allied Medical Sciences, Engineering, Architecture and Design, Nursing, Information Technology, and Educational Sciences. (Details of the programs are available in the Faculty Brochure.
